A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip
Revenge on two of your exes, eh? A weird one from Missouri and Arkansas.
Last August, I went to this three-year-old’s birthday party. Just to set this up for you quickly, the dad of the three-year-old is a child of divorce. His dad (the grandfather) and his mom (grandmother), now married to different people, were both present. The grandparents had three kids when they were together. I think they were maybe together 20 years. They had been divorced for 18 at this point.
Well, the grandfather gets a little boozed up (it happens at kids’ birthday parties) and his ex-wife starts walking past him often as he’s talking to me. She says nothing. She barely makes eye contact. And remember, of course, they’ve been divorced for almost two decades now and they’re both married to new people. I understand why it could be seen as weird, but his happens all the time, all over the world. Relationships change and people move on.
The grandfather keeps saying to me, “I gave her three kids, and she won’t even say hi?” It felt odd, to be honest. But I know a lot of guys do think like that, so I nodded along as we drank some boxed red wine together.
If you haven’t noticed of late, there is an increasing “red pill” sentiment around, mostly online. “Red pill” is ostensibly “anti-woman.” It’s a cousin of the “incel” movement in some ways. You will see red pill guys post nasty shit about Gisele, like “He gave her kids and he’s an alpha, and the bitch still walked!” It’s a weird Internet sub-ecosystem.
If we really want to get the red pill community fired up, let’s talk about Taylor Santiago.
