Do cops in Cocoa Beach get it "right" when dealing with domestic violence?
We will have some nice moments with video in a second, but let me paint this for you first. We have a woman named Daniela, from Colombia. She’s living in Florida, apparently working for a consulting company. In June ’24, she met a guy named Walter on Bumble, and they went on “five or six dates,” according to her. At some point around date 3–4, she realized he was a little bit of an aggressive asshole, but she did a few more dates, apparently because she was about to go back to Colombia for a bit and figured it would naturally erode. That happened, but he was pushing her, so she had to break up with him officially and block him on platforms/phone.
She came back to the USA and apparently he still got ahold of her, and at one point he said “stay out of Cocoa Beach,” as in, “Don’t go on dates with other guys here.” But then, a curious thing happened. As she went on dates with guys or out with girlfriends, Walter would constantly show up at the bars/restaurants. Eventually, in November ’24, she flagged down a police officer when he showed up again, and the corresponding video is here:
