An accused killer of a capitalist “winner” talks to a social chronicler with Aspberger’s. What can we learn herein?
Last spring and summer, Luigi Mangione — currently charged with shooting a CEO in the back in midtown Manhattan, and somehow charged with terrorism as part of that — communicated with a Substacker named Gurwinder. Luigi actually became a founding member of that guy’s Substack, which is usually a decent one-time payout of maybe $500 or so. They communicated a few times on email and social media, and then Gurwinder offered his subscribers a chance to video chat, so him and Luigi met over video, seemingly in April or May 2024. The current timeline shows Luigi “going off the grid” sometime in May. Apparently he was in Japan or Asia in general, with some people claiming he was in Hawaii, but that whole timeline doesn’t seem quite firm yet.
Gurwinder went over to The Free Press and did a summary of his discussions with Luigi, which includes two interesting screenshots.
