Meeting Your End In A Home Depot

Gary Rasor was a 83 year-old man in a Home Depot in North Carolina; he was a “second or third career” clerk at this point. He asked for a receipt from a guy with three power washers. The guy, who was trying to steal the power washers, pushed him down. Rasor hit the deck and later passed away from his injuries.

On the other side of the country, a 26 year-old (so, much different stage of life) named Blake Mohs was working at another Home Depot. A woman, Benicia Knapps (think I spelled that right), tried to steal a charger for power tools. Mohs, who wanted to be a cop and was soon to be married, confronted her and was shot. He also passed away later. Knapps ran to a Nissan Pathfinder where her two year-old child was waiting.

If you want to go straight ideology on this one, perhaps we can make it a case of two District Attorneys. In the North Carolina case (Rasor), the guy who pushed him is up for murder. In the California case (Mohs), the lady named Knapps is up for “Little Gun,” which means she might get five years.
