Perhaps The Biggest Trump Confusion

People say, "How can Christians support this guy? Just even look at the infidelity!" This is a much simpler question than we admit, unfortunately.

Being pro-Trump since about 2015 requires a lot of mental gymnastics and issue pivots, because most of Trump’s views on things change based on who he feels is currently offending him and/or who he thinks has the most to offer to him. His brand of loyalty is essentially fealty disguised as something more comprehensive, but really it’s just as transactional as it gets. Every President is transactional to some level, but Trump has taken it to an amazing extreme.

One of the things that riles the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” people up the most is the Christianity thing. This guy has been divorced many times, ultimately admitted to cheating on wives many times, paid hush money to an adult actress, etc… and yet “Christians” love him. That confuses the hell out of people. (What’s worse, he’s actually considered a “savior” by some, and that narrative went into hyperdrive after the Butler shooting.)

This part is easier to explain.
