Just this morning, I saw two more of these types of videos. In the above screenshot, you have a 27 year-old woman in Ohio who is essentially stalking (and calls herself “obsessive”) a younger man who just got a job at a middle school. I don’t think the younger man was underaged in this case, but it’s still what you’d call a “power dynamic” issue. Here’s the video.
Then you have Alyssa Zinger, out of Tampa, which is a 2023 case with recently-released body-cam. She was 21, apparently working in the Kroger bakery section, and was luring 13- and 14-year-old boys on Snapchat for sex, claiming she was 14 and homeschooled. She apparently had sex with five boys this way. Here’s that body-cam:
In the beginning of that body-cam, she’s actually at the police station with a 13-year-old boy, because they got caught shoplifting at Nordstrom. She keeps telling the cop she’s 14. The cop runs her name and finds an “Alyssa Zinger” who is 21 (that’s her) and she says, “Oh, that’s my half-sister with the same name. Haha.” The cop believes that, and stunningly, they release Zinger and this 13 year-old to his dad outside the police station.
I actually wrote about Zinger last April when she finally got put into jail.
Zinger and the Ohio lady above are part of a deeper trend of older women sleeping with younger boys, and eventually getting caught — usually because of Snapchat or something else.
Obviously each one of these cases is very different, and the personalities of the people involved are very different, so it’s extremely hard to generalize. If you watch the full Zinger video above, near the end there’s some stuff regarding her mental health assessments, and let's just say out loud: they’re not good. She would threaten and physically attack the 13 year-old boy sometimes, and apparently had a huge Icarus-style ego. Interestingly, you do meet her mom and dad on that body-cam when police come to search the house, and the mom and dad seem (from five minutes on a body-cam) to be pretty normal. You just never know.
I personally have no idea why this seems to be happening more these days, except maybe that it’s easier to access young boys because they all have a smartphone by 10–12 and their brains aren’t developed enough to figure out everything that’s going on and who’s DM’ing them.
The good news (if there is any good news) on this topic is that recently, it has seemed like juries understand that older women can abuse younger boys, and it’s not just a porn fantasy.
That’s an important step.
Some of these ladies who do this are married with young kids, which says to me, “Oh, I thought this is the life that I wanted, but it’s hard and not thrilling, so I went and did this to feel something again.” Again, it could be that the women were abused themselves and I’m way off. But that theory seems to hold some water for me.
These two women (the videos above) are not married and, to my knowledge, have no children between them. The crassest way to present this is “They liked young cock” and/or “They wanted the power over a boy that comes from deflowering him.” Those are definitely potential reasons herein. I would say again, mental health stuff, past abuse themselves, overly-sexualized behavior due to a past history of addiction or not understanding risk, seeking thrills, etc.
I’m not a clinical professional.
It does seem like this stuff is happening at a more rapid clip these days, though. What would be your take?
We can still blame patriarchy somehow… can’t we??
I'm 75. Is it too late for me?
