The SpaceX Engineer Did A Very Bad Thing
We will head to Maine (with a dash of the South Pacific) for this one.
We do not know that much about this case yet, but we can present some details and stab at some theories here and there if we’d like. This guy was 34 and named Samuel Whittemore. He lived in Maine. He was married to a woman named Margaux Nguyen Whittemore, who was 32. She was from France, but had lived in Houston at one point. Samuel was a big engineer type, including having a senior role at SpaceX for six years (he left there in 2021). He also apparently owned a 50-foot boat that he sailed in Mexico and the South Pacific. It is unclear where these two met, but I might guess Houston given the SpaceX tie — although it could be on some travels, as they both seemed to travel quite a bit.
They got married on September 8, 2024. Her IG has since been taken down, I believe, but apparently she captioned it what you’d expect — something like “How is this life?” or “How am I so lucky?” Her husband, Samuel, is now charged with murdering her on February 19th, so about five months after their wedding. The murder occurred at his parents’ house in Maine. I guess this couple was living at a different house in the same area of Maine, but they could have been living in a back house.
His dad appears unharmed or not at home at the time, but his mom is also now in the ICU, and the wife is deceased. Most reports indicate she was carried to the driveway and dumped there. Wow.
Here is some video covering it:
